Do You Need A New Pair of Pajamas?
The price tag of these Munki Munki pajamas immediately caught my eye at Costco last week. I have paid close to $70 for Munki Munki pajamas in the past and Costco was selling them for a mere $14. Unfortunately, the warehouse was already sold out of my size, so I went home to check and see if they were available online. They were slightly more expensive at www.costco.com, but still a deal at only $19.99. They are available in four different colors and sizes XS through 3X. The grey printed pj’s are the only pair that has limited sizes available. I find they run slightly large and the small was perfect for my size 6/8 hourglass figure. I have been a fan of Munki Munki pj’s since my husband gifted me a pair several years ago. They are by far the softest flannel pajamas in my drawer and I love their super cute prints. My favorite feature are the adjustable, snap cuffs for people like me that are somewhat vertically challenged and need a shorter pants length.
Favorite Soup Recipes on Pinterest
We tend to eat soup at least once a week during the winter months. I thought I would share my 5 favorite soup recipes that I have discovered on Pinterest. Follow My Favorite Tested & Approved Dinner Recipes board on my Parker Posts Pinterest Page for more family friendly meals that I have successfully prepared. Almost all of these soups make large batches. I tend to freeze half for an easy dinner down the road.
This soup takes me back to my college days when a nice dinner out tended to be the all you can eat soup and salad at our local Olive Garden. I always ordered the Pasta E Fagioli. There isn’t an Olive Garden near where we live now, so I was ecstatic to discover this copy cat recipe. My family loves this soup as much as I do. I wait to add the pasta if I am freezing half of the batch so that the pasta does not soak up the broth and become soggy.
I love a soup that I can dump all of the ingredients into the slow cooker during the morning and find delicious results waiting for me at home in the evening. This tasty soup is full of flavor, but not too spicy for my daughter that doesn’t care for a lot of heat in her meals.
This creamy bean soup is a bowl of pure comfort. Pair it with some crusty bread for the perfect rainy day dinner. I have substituted cannellini beans in place of navy beans out of convenience and find it equally delicious.
If you want a bowl of soup in a jiffy, this yummy concoction is ready in just 30 minutes. My husband and son are big fans of any recipe that includes sausage and this soup was no exception.
Trader Joe’s Bath & Body Favorites
Bath and body products might not be something you normally associate with Trader Joe’s. The two products I’m writing about today have become staples in our shower. I especially love the fact that I can replenish our supply during my weekly grocery shopping trip to Trader Joe’s instead of making a separate trip to the drugstore.
Moisturizing Cream Shave
Shaving gels and creams would often leave my legs feeling dry and itchy after shaving until a friend introduced me to Eos shave cream. The Eos shave cream left my legs feeling moisturized, but I tended to go through it quickly and have problems getting all of the product out of the container once it was about 3/4 full. I switched to an Eos squeeze tube and had better luck dispensing all of the cream, but I didn’t love the higher price tag that accompanied the squeeze tube. Trader Joe’s Shave Cream is $0.15 less per ounce than Eos Sensitive Shave Cream, dispenses easily and equally moisturizing. I have been using the Trader Joe’s Shave Cream for almost a year now and I don’t have any complaints.
Lavender Salt Scrub
We keep a container of the Trader Joe’s Lavender Salt Scrub in the shower to help keep our feet soft and smooth year round. This scrub does a great job exfoliating away any roughness and keeping skin moisturized. I had purchased similar products before at Target that sold for more than double the price of the Trader Joe’s version. I was excited to find something that was just as effective, convenient to buy and available in one of my favorite scents. Give the Trader Joe’s Lavender Salt Scrub a try if you are searching for something to revive your skin from the dry winter weather.
Duvet Cover Trick
This week I was reminded of a trick I have used for years to insert my comforter into a duvet cover. I had to replace my daughter’s comforter this week because after a decade of use, all of the feathers had shifted to one side. Instead of trying to shove the comforter into the far reaches of the duvet, I simply followed the steps in the video below. Many of you may already be familiar with this method, but I would be remiss if I didn’t share this life changing tip with anyone that might not know the technique.
Free Bunco Printables
In December I shared How to host a Mother & Daughter Holiday Bunco Party. I updated the printables in Valentine’s Day colors in case you would like to co-host a party next month with your daughter. A Valentine’s Day theme would be a fun way to gather together your friends and show them a little love.
